Automata Anime confirms episode count

Nier: Automata has finally made its long-awaited anime debut as part of the new wave of anime hits during the Winter 2023 anime schedule, and now a new list has revealed how many episodes NieR: Automata Ver1.1a will stick around for. Square Enix’s hugely popular video game has branched out with a new anime adaptation touting that it will feature an original take on the story from the original game, and now fans have been able to see the first taste of this with the premiere episode from the anime that just aired this week along with some other heavy hitters.

NieR: Automata Ver1.1a dropped the very first installment, and it got fans thinking about how far this series could go, given the long experience of the original games. According to a new list spotted by @SugoiLITE on Twitter, Nier: Automata‘s anime runs two courses with a total of 24 episodes. Although their report does not clarify whether these courses will be split or not NieR: Automata Ver1.1a runs directly into the summer season of 2023 in July.

How to watch Nier: Automata’s new anime

Regardless of whether the jobs are split during their broadcast or not, this is sure to be a meaty episode to cover the game’s story or maybe even tackle many of the game’s many endings. If you want to join the anime as it airs overseas, you can now stream Nier: Automata Ver1.1a with Crunchyroll. As for what to expect from this new take on the franchise, they tease the anime as such:
