Abbott Elementary Creator Quinta Brunson celebrates SAG and WAG nominations

Abbot Elementary School‘s Quinta Brunson celebrates all the awards the show has in store. On Twitter, she only spoke about the Screen Actor’s Guild Award nominations for the show. Then the hair and makeup team got individual shout-outs. Abbott’s writing staff also has a chance to win a pair of Writer’s Guild of America Awards. This all comes after the ABC sitcom took home multiple Golden Globes. It feels like everything is coming to Abbot after all the success and Brunson is moved by all the positive coverage and messages from fans. She shared, “wanted 24 hours! golden globes for Abbott, Tyler and myself (thank you) Sag nominations for Abbott (thanks SAG!) The Abbott Hair and Makeup team have been nominated for the SGAs and we are so proud of them and if Last not least – Abbott Elementary has been renewed for Season 3! Join us in celebrating tonight by watching an all new episode of Abbott on ABC tonight at 9pm!Another – the writing staff of Abbott Elementary has been nominated for two WGA awards! They are true geniuses and I couldn’t be happier and prouder.”

Abbott Elementary renewed for Season 3

ABC sent a description Abbot Elementary School‘s first season: “A workplace comedy that follows a group of dedicated, passionate teachers – and a slightly tone-deaf principal – as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Despite their misadventures, they are determined to help their students succeed in the life, and while these incredible officials may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude to raising kids.
