A new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe joins the cast of Abbot Elementary School. Audiences may already know Ayo Edebiri from her breakout role as Sydney in The bear alongside Jeremy Allen White, but she’ll be joining the superhero world in Marvel’s soon Lightning strikes. from Edebiri Lightning strikes role is currently being kept under wraps, but ABC has already revealed who she will play in future episodes of Abbot Elementary School. Fans of the ABC comedy have been wondering who will play Janine’s (Quinta Brunson) sister, and we now know that Ayo Edebiri will appear as Ayesha, Janine’s sister.
Weekly entertainment has the exclusive first clip of Ayo Edebiri in this week’s episode Abbot Elementary School, titled “Valentine’s Day”, with Janine introducing Jacob to Ayesha via Facetime. Janine has said she had a tense relationship with her sister in the past, though it seems that Janine has embellished some of the tension coming from Ayesha. As the clip shows, a simple happy birthday call to Ayesha shows that she seems pretty normal, with Janine coming across as the clumsy one. Edebiri’s appearance on this week Abbot Elementary School is quite short, but OW confirms she will return with a bigger role later in the season.
Ayo Edebiri’s Mysterious Role in Thunderbolts
In January, it was revealed that Ayo Edebiri has been cast in the upcoming blockbuster Lightning strikes in a currently unknown role. Edebiri is best known for playing Sydney Adamu on the recent hit series FX The bearas well as Missy Foreman-Greenwald Big mouthand Hattie on Dickinson. She is also a writer of FX’s series adaptation of What we do in the shadows.
Edebiri will join one Lightning strikes cast starring Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier, David Harbor as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr / Ghost, Olgya Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.
What is lightning bolts about?
While plot details are currently a mystery, Lightning strikes is expected to be based on the namesake Marvel Comics team, an alliance of anti-heroes and villains who reluctantly work for the government. “I was just joking about it [how] it’s like Dungeons and dragonswhere you meet in a tavern and it’s like there’s a dwarf having a beer and then there’s an elf figure there, we all get together and then there’s that ghost… it’s not going to happen like that, I don’t think,” Haven shared ComicBook. com in an interview at last year’s D23 Expo. “But I think one of the mysteries of the movie is what their relationship is, and as you say, there’s a lot of exciting things when you wrap up the next stage in terms of what their slice of the whole universe is. So on this random, chaotic way. So, you know, we can’t say too much at the moment, but they’re another exciting introduction of this team together, that’s going to be a lot of fun.”
