Plans for an all-terrain Wildtrak version of the new Ford Everest were anticipated by patent images unearthed last year driveby placing the Ranger Wildtrak-Ute’s unique front fascia and alloy wheels on Ford’s new four-wheel drive system.
The Ford Everest Wildtrak V6 has now been unveiled in New Zealand ahead of showroom arrivals there in July this year – but a Ford Australia spokesman said drive There is “no news to share” about a local launch.
The Wildtrak V6 differs from other models in the Ford Everest lineup by sharing the same styling as the Ute, such as: B. the front bumper with darker accents, LED fog lights, black wheel arch extensions and window trim, and Wildtrak badging on the doors, tailgate and hood.
In New Zealand, the Ford Everest Wildtrak comes with 20-inch silver and black alloy wheels that were introduced late last year as an option on the Ranger Wildtrak ute – wrapped in highway off-road tires.
Inside there are yellow contrast stitching and Wildtrak embroidery on the front seats. The Ranger Wildtrakute Luxe Yellow livery is also available.
The Everest Wildtrak is powered exclusively by the new Ranger and Everest’s 3.0 liter turbo diesel V6 (184 kW/600 Nm) mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.
The new model class positions itself between the mid-range Sport and the top-luxury Platinum of the Everest range with a 12-inch touchscreen and panoramic sunroof – but standard LED headlights instead of Matrix LED headlights and an 8.0- Inch instrument display instead of the Platinum’s 12-inch widescreen.

A spokesman for Ford Australia said drive: “Everest Wildtrak is an exciting addition to the global Ford Everest range, but we have no news of an Australian launch.”
